Our experience in complex data programming, online connectivity, and flexible front-end processing systems enable us to receive files of virtually any size or format for processing. Through the use of software developed by our programming department, customer data is processed quickly, accurately and reliably.

Pre-press/Press

Our electronic pre-press department stands ready to accept and prepare all final artwork in preparation for printing. Artwork can be received in hardcopy, film or electronic format from either Mac or PC systems. Once the files are examined — and enhanced or corrected where necessary — they are then sent to press. Our fleet of presses range from single- and two-color presses to six-color perfecting presses. TOP

Electronic laser imaging and on-demand printing

Doculink International operates from one of the most advanced print-on-demand facilities in the world. Thousands of customer files are sent and imaged each day at our facilities in Ottawa, Canada, and Raleigh, USA. In Ottawa alone, our extensive and versatile fleet of high-speed laser printers — one of the largest in North America — has the capacity to provide over eight million pages per day. This capacity enables us to process customer orders quickly, from receipt of order to delivery. TOP

Our variable sheet-fed printing services include the cost-effective addition of highlight color imaging. This variable color imaging option could be used to produce a company name or logo in color and thereby eliminate the need for pre-printed stock. Highlight color can also be used to emphasize new features, important messages and variable information. All of our high-speed variable data laser printers have multiple feed trays to enable the dynamic and accurate callup of different stock types within the same production run. TOP

Full-color, variable printing

Doculink provides full-color, variable, digital imaging services. This exciting technology merges customer database information and unique customer driven graphics to personalize virtually any kind of document or print collateral. As well as the ability to graphically image anything variable in full color on a document or an envelope (both sides), customers can take advantage of its cost-effective, short run capability. This eliminates the need to store large volumes of printed matter and risk obsolescence. TOP

Finishing

We are fully equipped to provide a wide variety of in-house bindery and finishing options including collating, laminating, die cutting, stitching, folding, Wire-O, spiral, lay-flat and perfect binding, and assembly. TOP

Lettershop/distribution

Our full-service lettershop department is capable of inserting over one million packages a day. This includes envelope insertion, metering and sorting through the use of automated intelligent inserters. All our intelligent inserters are enhanced with bar coding, end-of-process systems and digital matching technologies to maximize the integrity and ensure 100% accuracy of each mailing. The use of intelligent inserters and associated technologies significantly boost our production capacity and ensure that production and delivery requirements are consistently met. They also eliminate many manual processes and significantly decrease any margin for error.

As a large volume mailer, we provide our customers with a higher level of service and ensure their mailings meet Canada Post's and the U.S. Postal Service's latest standards for best-rate mailings. TOP

Computerized inventory control/management

Doculink's electronic inventory management system closely monitors inventory levels and the movement of customer stock. Through this automated system, customers can obtain “real-time” quantities of the components located in inventory. This system enables the user to monitor stock movement, current quantities, department usage, orders processed and minimum/maximum inventory levels. TOP
